Subject: [Royalton] The History of Spiritual Seeking in the area we call Strafford
All are invited to a special service this coming Sunday August 2 at 10am at the Universalist Church in South Strafford. We will be celebrating and looking at the inspiring history of how people here, for over thousands of years, have related to the world beyond themselves. The service is with the Universalist Society of Strafford and the United Church of Strafford. It will be held in conjunction with the Upper Valley UU congregation. Annemieke McLane will provide the music. Most all of us have some way of connecting, both by ourselves and with others, to that which is eternal. It does not have to take place in a church. In our area, which is so darn beautiful, it is often outdoors with nature. The service will start with the Abenaki relationship to the earth and each other and continue from the time of the first settlements till today. It will include both the history of churches and practices not connected with organized religions. I hope you that you will be able to join us. Please contact me at my email address or by phone at 802-765-4003 if you have questions or want more information.
