Tired of the same ol' depressing news cycle? Here's a headline worth celebrating: V-2, the wild bald eagle raised on VINS property by parents Windsor & Dewey, has fledged! V-2 flew from the nest for the first time on Sunday, July 26th, and has been returning now and then for food ever since. Check out a video of this amazing moment here, and join us to celebrate one of our country's most remarkable environmental comeback stories — the return of the Bald Eagle — at our FLEDGE PARTY, Thursday, July 30th, 5:30pm at the Nature Center. Rain or shine, we'll be listening to the lovely tunes of Lyme's very own Well Kept Men, eating delicious pizza from the Greenhouse Pizza Truck, sipping cider from Cold Hollow Cider Co. or a beer from the Pizza Chef Beer Truck, and hearing from knowledgeable speakers from Audubon Vermont and VT Fish & Wildlife.
