Subject: [Lyme] Seeking strong backs and good muscles

(This is not another personal ad - I already have one of these at home myself 😉)

Bay State Books is arriving Monday morning to pick up about 80 boxes of library discards. I need to move these boxes from the downstairs workroom to an outside spot on Sunday afternoon (August 9) around 3pm.

These are mostly heavy boxes (up to 40 pounds each), so I envision a relay line moving them from the workroom, up the back stairs (a short run), and out the back door to the end of the little sidewalk. This is not a job for our elevator, sadly.

I will have one giant tarp to put the boxes on overnight and could use one or two more tarps to cover them until BSB arrives late Monday morning. If you can lend a tarp but not your muscles, that's okay! All help is welcome!

If you feel up to hauling some boxes this Sunday at 3:00, please come to the library. We'll be at the back entrance.

Thank you,
Judy

P.S. If you would like to help collapse and stack the ~80 empty boxes on Monday afternoon, I'd be most grateful.

P.P.S. Weeding outdated and no-longer-read or -relevant books is part of maintaining a robust library. We accumulated these boxes of books, audiobooks, and DVDs over several years. I am most grateful that Bay State Books will take them and handle them responsibly for us.
