If you’re curious about conservation projects around Grafton County, then get ready for the Fall Conservation Tour! Join us to learn from your neighbors and engage with the conservation community. We’re starting things off with two free sessions: Tour 1: Agriforestry Summer Session in Piermont, 8/28 at 5:30pm Join the GCCD and Sullivan County Conservation District in exploring forest farming, riparian buffers, edible windbreaks, and other topics, on a working farm. Tour 2: Rotational Grazing in Canaan, 9/4 at 3:00pm In this tour, we will learn about how Hillcrest Farm utilizes rotational grazing to rest sections of pasture, allowing for regrowth of desirable forage species and improved pasture health. In respect to parking constraints, all tours are capped in size and registration is required.
