Subject: Summer Reading Events at the Morrill Memorial Library
Here is the schedule for the rest of our Summer Reading Program events at the Morrill Memorial and Harris Library. MONDAY, JUNE 27 at 6:30 PM STACKED TURTLE ART Join us for Week 5 of our Summer Reading Program for children. We’ll unearth some folklore stories about Turtles from various traditions around the world and paint colorful stacked turtle art highlighting scale and design principles. (Please wear clothes that can get paint on them or an oversized tshirt that serves the same purpose. ) MONDAY, AUGUST 3 at 6:30 pm GARDEN MOBILES We’ll Unearth a Story from our gardens and make mobiles using paper flowers and insects. MONDAY, AUGUST 10th at 6:00 pm (a bit earlier than usual) FIRE TRUCK NIGHT Meet on the Common Wear a swimsuit and bring a towel. Have a “blast” dashing through the hose spray. Event held kindness of the Strafford Volunteer Fire Department and is weather dependent. We’ll make a call by mid afternoon if the skies don’tcooperate. SUNDAY, AUGUST 16, 1:00 pm BIRDS ARE DINOSAURS Live Animal Program by the Vermont Institute of Natural Science Join us Sunday afternoon for a special VINS presentation with Live birds that will explain the story of how birds became dinosaurs.
