Subject: UVLT "lingering ash" 🌳 detection workshop this Fri., Aug 21

Are you interested in learning how you can help preserve ash trees in the wake of the Upper Valley's growing Emerald ash borer invasion? 🪲
Join UVLT this Friday, August 21 from 9-11 am for a field workshop that will walk participants through data collection components associated with the Ecological Research Institute’s Monitoring and Managing Ash (MaMA) program. We will discuss how to identify black and white ash in the field and take participants through how to set up a long-term ash monitoring plot. We will also go over how to conduct a Rapid Ash Assessment (MaMa RAMA) and how to report suspected lingering ash.
UVLT’s Old Town Farm Conservation Area in Pomfret, VT, is an ideal location for this workshop due to ease of access to and within a two-acre black ash stand and an abundance of white and possibly green ash for comparison.
