Subject: Norwich Grange Hall Update (and Thanks!)

If your Monday travels through Norwich involved an unexpected detour (or two), thank you so much for your patience! Closing Main Street was necessary to move forward with critical pieces of work for the Norwich Grange Hall: (1) connecting the building's new sprinkler system to the water main; and (2) replacing the septic system in order to support the Grange's future as a busy community center. We expect the remaining work on the sprinkler and septic systems to be completed in the next two weeks (but this is happening on Firehouse Lane and behind the building). We'd like to thank Webster & Donovan for their skill, professionalism, and hard work in getting everything done so quickly and minimizing this disruption. We're also grateful to everyone who helped make this portion of the project possible, including the Town of Norwich, the Norwich Fire Department, the Norwich Police Department, the Norwich Department of Public Works, the Norwich Fire District, as well as our neighbors/donors. While Main Street is back open, we’re not quite finished yet. We're in the final stretch of our community fundraising campaign, with less than $7,000 now left to raise. Every gift, no matter the size, helps ensure that this building can once again serve as a gathering place for the entire community.
