Subject: [Lyme] You're Invited: The Northern Woodlands Moth Ball, This Friday Night

The Northern Woodlands Annual Moth Ball is this Friday! Join us July 31, 8:30 – 10:30 PM in our backyard at 16 On the Common in Lyme. Using UV lights and white sheets, lepidopterist JoAnne Russo will attract moths and other nighttime insects for a rare close-up look at the creatures active after dark. This is a drop-in, self-guided observation event. JoAnne will be on hand throughout the evening to help with identification and answer questions. Optional but recommended: eye protection (UV or regular glasses), camera or phone, headlamp or small flashlight, UV flashlight. Free! Please consider a $5 donation at the door to support our programs. Parking will be available across the common at 15 Main Street (courtesy of The Lyme Historians) or at the Lyme Park & Ride.
