Vote in Democratic Primary for State Senate

Subject: Why vote on Tuesday for Monique

Many times I vote just to vote, but not because I feel strongly about the person running for office. The Democratic Primary on Tuesday for the State Senate candidate, I feel very strongly about because Monique Priestley is an unusual person. I have inadvertently so to speak followed her political path as she became State Rep for Bradford. I watched her do the Space on Main in Bradford, bring statewide candidates to events in Bradford, take on the issues of AI and state technology policy, run into her at local events, and watched her constant enthusiasm and dedication.

Being at her campaign kickoff this year in our own Vershire Town Center, I was so struck by the number of young people who had worked with her and came long distances to speak about Monique with passion and caring, about her as a person, what she was doing in Montpelier and across the country, and how important she is to Vermont. There were older Democrats and Progressive State Reps there too who talked about Monique's ability to dig into a topic, ask questions, follow through, and work with others.

Monique has the youth, commitment, energy, and leadership to work with Orange County and Vermont's challenges and support Vershire's citizens. I urge you to vote at the Primary tomorrow from 7am-7pm.
