Subject: [Events-UV] Old (new) Western Melodrama coming to Bradford!

“This is terrible! What will happen? Will Snydley Dastardley’s fiendish plans succeed? Can the sheriff find a way to stop him? Will Polly have to marry the slick and sinister Richard Coldheart? Will Cowboy Bob ever shave and take a bath?” Answers await you in…. The Old Church Theater’s Summer Youth Production of HOW THE WEST WAS DUN ….or Left High and Dry in Low Humidity Chasm. Opening the Old Church Theater’s 43rd season, this hilarious melodrama is sure to please! Come prepared to laugh, sigh, sing, applaud, boo and hiss! Twenty area youth between the ages of 11 & 18 from six of our local towns will take you back to the Old West in a way that Hollywood never did. This madcap melodrama is being directed by Angela Rae Cottrill (director of OCT’s 2024 production of Good Masters, Sweet Ladies) and presented for two weekends at the end of August. Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 7, Sundays at 2, August 21-23 & 28-30, at the Bradford Academy auditorium, 172 N. Main Street, Bradford, VT. Tickets can be purchased at the door -- $15 adults, $12 students/seniors, and children 4 and under are free. For more information contact: angela.cottrill@oldchurchtheater.org
