Newbury Backroom meeting and volunteer cleanup

(Even though this is an email about the Backroom all are welcome to come to our meetings and participate when you can.)

Hello All. First and foremost I need to let you know that I have had to change the date of our next meeting to August 25th at 5pm in the Hall. If you cannot make that date please get back to me…hopefully it will work for most of you.

Next, I’m looking for a work crew to help clean and arrange the Backroom (the space behind the post office). We’re hoping that in a few months we can start having free coffee there Saturday mornings for anyone who wishes. I’m looking at Saturday, August 22 at 9 AM. If you think you could join me in this undertaking please text me at 802-558-2019 and we’ll go from there.

On the same date as the cleaning I’m hopeful that Tim Jarmon ,with help ,can put up some outdoor tables for produce at the Shed. (Tim, if you can do it earlier with some help let me know and I’ll try to round up some helpers for you.)

It’s pretty exciting to look into the future with plans to engage and support our community.

Finally, another thought to mull around. Years ago we had monthly pot-lucks at the Hall. With a new twist we thought perhaps we could do a monthly “free” meal with volunteers providing the main dish and people bringing sides to complement it.
