When you come to the West Newbury Summer Festival & parade on Saturday, be sure to take time for a visit to the schoolhouse, Newbury Historical Society's most important artifact. This year's "open house" will celebrate 250 years of education in our town and the many neighborhood schools where it all began. Enjoy vintage photographs, stories from some of these schools' former students, and a fascinating glimpse into earlier school days. And if you have some stories of your own to share, Historical Society board member John Marsh will be roving with his tape recorder!
