Subject: Hanover Voters: Information regarding NH State Primary September 8th
Greetings Hanover! State Primary. Voting in the NH State Primary Election will take place September 8th at the Hanover High School gymnasium. Polls will be open from 7 am to 7 pm. Sample Ballots and information about obtaining an absentee ballot may be found on the Voting Information page on the Town of Hanover Website. The Town Clerk will be available on Labor Day, Monday September 7th, in the Clerk’s Office at Town Hall from 1pm – 5pm to assist with distribution and return of absentee ballots. Election Parking is in the rear of the building, by the track and football field. Parking access is from Lebanon Street, across from the Hanover Parks & Recreation Center lot entrance. Drive around to the back of HHS. Exit is via Hovey Lane. There will be no parking in the lot across the street from Memorial Stadium. That lot was historically used for voter parking but is now reserved for high school staff. Checking in: To check in to vote as an already-registered voter, please bring: Proof of ID (photo ID, such as a N.H. Driver’s license, other state driver’s license, passport or government issued photo identification, or other sufficient proof). Registration: Voter Registration is available during business hours at the Town Clerk’s office at Town Hall through September 2nd. Same-day registration and voting will be available September 8th at the election. To register to vote please bring: Proof of ID (photo ID) Proof of domicile (NH Driver’s license with Hanover address or other official paperwork, feel free to reach out if you are not sure you have what is needed) Proof of Citizenship (Passport, Birth Certificate, or Naturalization papers) **Birth Certificate name must match name on photo ID. Eligible voters whose names have changed since birth, whether through marriage or otherwise, can prove their citizenship by producing a birth certificate together with official record of the name change, such as a marriage certificate or court order.
