Subject: Reminder: Hooks & Needles Meets Sunday, Aug. 9, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Hooks & Needles, the Vershire stitching group sponsored by the Vershire Recreational Committee, will meet Sunday afternoon, Aug. 9, at the Vershire Town Center from 2 to 4 p.m. (27 Vershire Center Rd., Vershire). Bring your old or new projects, and enjoy some stitchin’ and tea-sippin’ time together! Information that may be helpful to know: - Upcoming dates in August and September are: Sunday, Aug. 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. - The group is free and open to the public. If you would like to be added to the group's email list, reach out to me at kmquirk@gmail.com. - Children are welcome. There is no child care, though, so as a parent you will want to decide if the space is the right fit for your child. If you have little ones, please also keep in mind that there may be sharp objects like scissors and needles in use. - Come a little late or leave a little early if that works for your schedule. We’re flexible! - Members of the group made an agreement that no discussion topics would be off limits, but we will be respectful of one another and different perspectives -- including being willing to change the subject if someone is uncomfortable. - Beginner crochet lessons are available at every gathering. If you’d like to learn another skill, such as knitting or sewing, let me know and I will see about arranging a lesson for you at an upcoming gathering. - In keeping everyone’s health and well-being in mind, please consider skipping a gathering if you are sick or feel like you are coming down with something — and then join us next time. We look forward to seeing and stitching with you! Kristen Quirk kmquirk@gmail.com
