Bradford Conservation Commission presents: "VOLCANOES OF THE DEEP SEA" Monday, August 3rd, 6:30 pm, Colatina Exit Upstairs Arrive early if you wish to order food or drink to enjoy with the movie. We didn't get to watch this in July, so join us next week to watch it. The film documents the extraordinary ecosystems surrounding undersea volcanoes along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and the Azores volcanic rift. It follows scientists using the deep-sea submersible DSV Alvin to study hydrothermal vents and search for the mysterious organism responsible for Paleodictyon nodosum, which creates honeycomb-patterned fossil imprints on the sea floor. Donations welcomed, but totally optional.
