An evening in early August is a perfect time to enjoy the frivolity and fun of the Gilbert and Sullivan choral canon! From well-known works such as HMS Pinafore and The Pirates of Penzance, to the somewhat lesser known but equally delightful Iolanthe and Patience,
this music has been beloved by many generations of performers and theatergoers alike. With catchy tunes and witty lyrics that are still universally funny, they also give us a glimpse into the politics, arts, and everyday life of Victorian England.

CAFUV invites singers of all ages and abilities to this year’s series of fun, informal singing sessions on four August Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30, at the UU Congregation on Route 5 in Norwich. This year’s directors are Mary Jane Austin (8/5), Kathy Sherlock-Green
(8/12), Andrea Nardone (8/19), and Ed Broms (8/26), each bringing a distinct musical theme. Come to any or all four sessions—ALL SINGERS WELCOME!
