☀️ 🇺🇲 ☀️ 38th Annual
West Newbury Summer Festival, Aug. 8: West Newbury, a hill hamlet with
spectacular views of the White Mountains, and on the National Register of
Historic Places, is celebrating the Red, White, and Blue. Morning Treats,
a Silent Auction, White Elephant, and RW&B exhibit open at 8 am.
The 5K Fun Run with lots of prizes starts at 8:30 sharp on Tucker Mountain
(east parking lot). Vendors with things to say and things to sell will be
on hand. At 10:30 the parade, led by the Summertime Marching Band, steps out.
Children's games run
from 11-1 pm. At the Historical Societies' 1894 schoolhouse, see "A
Cornerstone of Democracy: 250 Years of Education in Newbury.” Enjoy a
picnic under the tent, with pulled pork and coleslaw on a bun, corn on the cob,
watermelon and drinks, starting at 11:30, and featuring live music. End your day with Just
Desserts and the Silent Auction's winning bidders.

Relax in the friendly,
peaceful beauty of West Newbury and take advantage of great walking in the
village or on Tucker Mountain trails. All proceeds support the West Newbury Community Hall's Elevator Fund.
