The Friends of the Morrill Homestead invite you to the next day trip and tour
of The Fells in New Hampshire.

This was the beautiful home of John Hay and he served as one of President
Lincoln’s private secretaries during the Civil War. Most likely he knew
Senator Justin Morrill. The Friends selected this historic site to explore the
mansion and gardens and understand another perspective on conservation and
landscape design.

The trip is Friday July 31st, from 10-1 We will have a guided tour of The
Fells mansion and formal gardens and we will learn about the time period, the
architecture and the appreciation for beauty and design. Guests can bring
their lunch and stay after the tour to eat in the beautiful outdoor setting.
Those who sign up should meet at the Fells by 10 am. We can also help set up
some ride shares from the Sharon Park and Ride if you register early and
