Stargazing Party at Mountain View Farm

Subject: STARGAZING IN ORFORD: We are on for Sunday night, August 9th

We have reviewed the weather forecast. Sunday night, August 9th, will be our annual Stargazing Party here in Orford, jointly sponsored by the Orford Conservation Commission and the Upper Valley Land Trust.

Plan to join us on SUNDAY EVENING evening at the Upper Valley Land Trust’s Mountain View Farm in Quinttown in Orford.

And have you checked the forecast for Sunday? We are expecting mild temperatures (around 70 degrees) and clear night skies. PERFECT for an evening of STARGAZING!

We are very fortunate to once again have Bobby Farlice-Rubio, the noted science commentator and astronomer, joining us to host our Sunday night event. The Stargazing Party will be an educational and entertaining evening.

The location: UVLT’s Mountain View Farm in Quinttown off of Mousley Brook Road

The time: Approximately 8 PM; Grounds open at 7:30 PM for parking

Please bring your own blankets and chairs, and a flashlight or headlamp which are necessary to find
your way back to your car when leaving the event. Please note that there is no electricity, potable water, or restroom on site.
