Academy History Museum and Outdoor Cafe Open

Subject: [Local Resource Network] CORINTH HISTORICAL SOCIETY Academy History Museum & Outdoor Cafe' Open This Saturday In Cookeville August 1st from 10 to Noon

All Are Welcome at the Academy History Museum this Saturday the first day of August.
Our Outdoor Cafe' Hosts this week under the tent will be Tania Aebi & Carl Demrow!

Bring your family, friends & stories and enjoy the large collection of local historical items to include a receipt for a casket built back in the 1800's, Frank Hutton's Buggy donated by the White family advertising his black smithing business in Cookeville, a wonderfully conserved sleigh by the late Werner Wenisch with remarkable hand painted flowers from the late Louise Young, the pop up top hat, the Bowen Hunter watchman's time clock, the calendar & coffee can from the second B.B. Scribner Store in Cookeville, now our beloved town hall, & up to 16' of research books & binders.

The Corinth Academic Institute of Higher Learning was built in 1846 and has had major restoration work over the years. These old buildings need steady upkeep.
Donations are very much appreciated and will go toward the Society's Annual budget and maintenance needs of the Academy Building,
