future generations? Have 3 heirs and want to be fair, have no heirs but
want to see the land remain intact? Wondering what it would mean to
conserve your land with a land trust? Have questions about Current Use?
Join us for a special speed-dating-style program where you move from
table to table and have one-on-one conversations with lawyers,
foresters, financial and estate planning professionals, and those who
have just been through the process. Each is ready to answer your
questions about passing your land to the next generation. This program,
organized by VT Coverts and the Greensboro Conservation Commission, is

Let’s go look for butterflies! Scientists want to know what kind of
butterflies live near you. Join a team from the Vermont Center for
Ecostudies and the Middlebury Area Land Trust for a day of butterflying
near Middlebury. Learn about butterflies in the field with the experts.
No experience is necessary, and all ages are welcome (minors must be
accompanied by an adult). Grab a friend and come for all or part of the

Chainsawing for Forest Citizens: Saw Safety Basics

Learn the fundamentals of safe operation: saw hazards, positioning of body and mind.

Supervised chainsaw practice: starting saw, downward and upward cuts,
introductory felling and limbing, avoiding pinched saws and dull chains.
Good pre-course for Game of Logging Levels 1&2. Your instructor,
Matty Adams of Pine Hill Voices, Occupational Safety and Health

Game Camera Tricks and Tips

Learn from our mistakes how to capture photos or videos of the animals
in your neighborhood or forest. We’ll talk about camera types and
settings and where and how to place cameras for best results depending
on your goals. After some discussion and looking at examples, we’ll
spend about an hour in the woods looking at where some of our photos
were taken and choose a spot and set a camera. We'll provide wood-fired
pizza and some drinks after we get back from the woods. Feel free to
bring your choice of beverages and plan to connect about the woodlands
