Subject: [Thetford] August 8th -- Saying Goodbye to Pastor Robin

For ten years, Rev. Robin Junker has served as the Minister of the First Congregational Church in Thetford (the white church on the hill) with compassion, erudition, energy, light and grace. On Sunday, August 8th, we will gather during our Sunday worship service to say goodbye, as she accepts the unanimous call of First Church Cambridge (MA) to be the 18th minister in that church's remarkable 400-year history. While it saddens us to see her depart, we are overjoyed that she has been called to lead a remarkable congregation, and she leaves our church and the wider community better for her having devoted the last decade to the spiritual needs of our congregation, while working with the community to organize in support of racial justice, migrant farm workers and immigrant communities, as well as being a leading voice for the enactment of statewide bell-to-bell phone-free schools legislation.

The service on August 8th begins at 10:00 am, and will be followed by a celebratory potluck lunch as we thank Pastor Robin for her devotion to our congregation and community, and release her to further her mission to spread her spiritual good news on a larger scale. All are invited to join us for the service and the fellowship that will follow.
